About this institute

The International Servant Leadership Institute (ISLI) — operating as the Servant Leadership Academy under SLM Foundation — exists to bring leaders back to the basics: to the gospel that saved them, the Christ who calls them, and the people they are sent to serve.

The world is changing at an unprecedented pace. Technological disruption, the global COVID-19 pandemic, and the rapid globalisation of every culture have forced organisations of every kind — including the church — to adapt to a new normal. Through it all, one truth remains: every organisation rises and falls on its leaders, and the mission of God's people is led not by corporate executives but by servant leaders formed in the likeness of Jesus Christ.

ISLI exists to form those servant leaders. The Christian vocation — "go and make disciples of all nations" — can no longer be understood only within a local context. It must be lived out across global cultures, languages, and worldviews. Yet the most pressing challenge in the global church today is healthy leadership: leaders who fear God, resist compromise, recognise that the ministry belongs to God, and lead from a deep love of Scripture.

We develop ministry leaders who are spiritually, intellectually, socially, and economically equipped through the Scriptures — to faithfully steward God's mission both at home in Thailand and across the global community.
